Fluid Alchemy see's Carter explore the transformative power within found materials, drawing parallels with the ancient practice of alchemy. Inspired by the historical pursuit of transmutation, where base substances were sought to be transformed into precious elements, this exhibition reimagines waste to provide it with new forms.

At the heart of this collection are objects salvaged from the high tide: plastics, driftwood and organic objects. Each piece tells a story of renewal and metamorphosis, reflecting Cathy's appreciation in the repurposing of found material. 

This exhibition includes new photographic works utilising digital collaging that transmutes bodies of water as unique environmental, physical and cultural landscapes.
