From the 19th to the 21st centuries women have been a force in photography in Aotearoa. Join Andy Spain at 10am, Saturday 29 May, on Zoom as he talks with:

Lissa Mitchell, the curator of historical photography at Te Papa. Lissa will talk about her upcoming book finding the forgotten stories of women and their involvement with photography in 19th and early 20th Century New Zealand.

Virginia Woods-Jack, artist and curator, who will talk about her work with Women in Photography NZ & AU and the Lightbox series in Wellington We look to the future with progressive ideals. Shining the light on contemporary female-identifying and non-binary photographic artists.
