As a descendant of British colonists I’m interested in exploring the exotic and introduced; the kinds of things that have lost the value they once held. I am always conscious of seeing things as they could be or were once seen to be, rather than as they necessarily are. My work asks the viewer to look more closely at that which we may be forgetting or taking for granted; to bring forth the things more favorable in the memory than in the seeing.
Bio:
I graduated in Photography in the early 90’s in the days of darkrooms and manual cameras, I won a handful of AIPA and Portraiture Awards then worked in the industry as a portraiture and wedding photographer until having children. Now I have come back to where I left off as an 11 year old with my first camera; photographing the rural margins and outskirts, taking note of the depths below the surface. My work is for sale in Europe and New York.
