This is a selection of images from an ongoing project based in the Wellington suburb of Naenae tentatively titled 'Hidden in Plain Sight'. Given the fraught state of housing in Aotearoa/New Zealand today, Naenae as the site of the first Labour government's state house building project makes an interesting historical and contemporary site for reflecting on urban development and its belief systems. Naenae is also notable for the fact that the modernist Austrian architect Ernst Plischke designed its town centre.
