By the very nature of our evolution we are inevitably bound to impermanence, dictated by the transient nature of our environment. Photographers Sheree Stone and Emma Badeia explore these transitional spaces in both an immaterial realm and within our local built environment.
Along with the photographs ability to acknowledge and represent a moment in time, comes the photographer’s role as observer, recording spaces on the cusp of transformation. Indexical markers embedded within the images assist in building narratives where surface patinas reveal time’s deterioration of materiality.
