He Hōia Ahau - I Am Soldier is a photographic exhibition by Ohakune photographer Craig Madsen.
Taken over 18 months the photos give a unique civilian perspective on the training in and around the Waiouru Military Training Area.
From inside garrison to out in the training area, this exhibition shows the journey young New Zealanders undertake when transitioning from civilian to soldier.
