In slumber I get lost inside the rooms inside my mind,
each riddling doorway presenting scenes
beyond the understanding of the conscious,
whispering of old tales found within my waking world
when its pages are shaken by dreams
Afterlives of ancient familiars accompany this hidden life
Toys from the underbelly
played with in the childhood of my shadow-self
fall out of drawers,
living, yet unliving, untowards, and yet becoming
Clarior ex Obscuro
