2 March - 13 April 2024

Artist’s talk Thursday 14 March at 6:00pm

Portrait session: Saturday 16 March (booking required)

Raymond Sagapolutele is a visual artist and academic based in Manurewa. Sagapolutele, through his parents, has links to Fatuvalu, Saoluafata and Tanugamanono villages in Samoa but has lived in Manurewa for most of his life.

Our Parents' Dreams is a reflective examination of the lived experiences of an artist raised in South Auckland that spans the evolution of his practice over the past decade. Images that traverse the nocturnal landscapes of South Auckland sit alongside self portraits that examine the nature of identity and culture as a diasporic Samoan.

On Saturday 16 March, Raymond will be hosting free portrait sessions here at Nathan Homestead Pukepuke. We only have a few spots left, so bookings are essential! Please call us on 09 267 0180, or email nathan.homestead@aucklandcouncil.govt.nz to reserve your spot.
