PhotoForum’s 39th AGM took place on Sunday 29th September 2013 at the home of newly re-elected Director, Geoffrey H. Short. Our thanks to Geoff & Kim for their generous hospitality, and to those members who were able to join us for this occasion. Especially pleasing was the election of a number of new faces to the existing committee lineup.
The 2013/14 committee includes Geoffrey H. Short (Director), Haruhiko Sameshima & John B. Turner (Managing Co-Editors), Jan Young (Secretary), Jenny Tomlin (Treasurer), Kathy Lane, Melissa Collow, Tony Nyberg, Chris Corson-Scott, Leigh Bell, Julius Margan, Shelley Jacobson, and Mark Adams. A full committee listing will be updated shortly, once nominations (of those unable to attend the AGM) has been confirmed.
Our thanks also to PhotoForum member Kevin Church of Opticmix Ltd who not only managed to record the event but who has since extended the following offer to current members. Another good reason to join PhotoForum or renew your subscription for this membership year!
In celebration of photoforum’s upcoming 40th year of operation and recognition of their support of New Zealand photographers, opticmix is pleased to offer a 20% discount on list print prices to all current, paid up photoforum subscribers.

Around this time of year, with the Auckland Festival of Photography approaching, we often receive enquiries requesting contact details of photographic printing specialists. Here’s some information from Kevin Church of Opticmix, about the services he is able to offer to the photographic and fine art communities.
Feel welcome to send through details of other photographic specialists that we can help photographers connect up with.
Opticmix is in its tenth year of working with artists and photographers and continues to offer a collaborative approach to printing images. We carry an extensive range of fine art and photographic style papers.
We have recently installed equipment so that we can mount our prints, when clients require, for exhibition and framing. We use pH neutral adhesives and will be offering Di-bond and Kappa board substrates.
Having printed for a number of clients involved in past Auckland Festival of Photography exhibitions, we would recommend timely discussion regarding printing and mounting needs to ensure that deadlines can be met comfortably.
Please contact me if you have any queries or wish to meet to discuss your requirements.
