In a nationwide series of lectures, and in association with the Goethe Institute NZ,  internationally renowned German photographer Thomas Ruff will talk about his work, some of which is concurrently in an exhibition at the Gow Langsford Gallery, in Auckland from 26 March to 24 April. Postcard Landscapes: Observations on the relationship between picture postcards and contemporary landscape photography.

German curator Esther Ruelfs (currently a  curator at the Museum of Modern Art, Salzburg) will give public lectures on the occasion of  Sightseeing: an exhibition and publication of postcards that explores the representation of place in contemporary German and New Zealand photography.
